About Ekotana Ekotana ("we", "us", "our", "the Platform") is an online marketplace operated by Ekotana OÜ, a company registered in Estonia ("Ekotana", "the Company"). Ekotana connects independent vendors ("Vendors") who sell green, sustainable, and innovative products with customers ("Customers", "you", "users") who wish to purchase such products. 2. What Ekotana Is (and Is Not) Ekotana is a marketplace platform. We do not manufacture, own, or hold inventory of the products listed on the Platform. Each product is sold directly by the Vendor who listed it. Ekotana facilitates the transaction between Customer and Vendor but is not itself a party to the sale contract, and does not act as merchant of record for Vendor sales. 3. Account Registration To purchase products or register as a Vendor, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep your login credentials confidential. 4. For Customers Prices are set by individual Vendors and displayed in EUR. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. Ekotana does not store your payment card details. Orders, shipping, and returns are subject to the specific Vendor's policies, as well as Ekotana's Shipping and Returns Policy. 5. For Vendors Vendors must be legally registered businesses or individuals authorized to sell the products they list. Vendors are solely responsible for the accuracy of their product listings, including sustainability claims and compliance with applicable regulations. Vendors are the sellers of record for every transaction made through the Platform and are solely responsible for determining, charging, collecting, reporting, and remitting any VAT, sales tax, or other transaction taxes applicable to their sales. Ekotana acts solely as an intermediary facilitating the transaction and payment processing between Customer and Vendor; it does not act as merchant of record and does not assume tax liability on a Vendor's behalf, except where mandatorily required by applicable law. Ekotana charges a commission on each completed sale. Payouts are processed via Stripe Connect. 6. "Ekotana Verified Green" and "Ekotana Greener Choice" Designations These are Ekotana's own in-house recognitions, not third-party certifications, based on criteria self-reported by Vendors and reviewed by Ekotana. 7. Prohibited Conduct Users may not list counterfeit or illegal products, misrepresent sustainability claims, or use the Platform fraudulently. 8. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ekotana is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform or disputes between Customers and Vendors. 9. Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without prejudice to mandatory EU consumer protection rights. 10. Contact Questions? Contact us at contact@ekotana.com.
